Earl "Buck" Harris

Earl "Buck" Harris, 80, of Boggstown, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born Nov. 30, 1930, in Kentucky, he was the son of Jim and Mary (Watson) Harris. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marsha Harris; four sisters, including his twin sister, Pearl Lynn; and three brothers. Mr. Harris had been a farm hand and had worked at the grain elevator in Boggstown for several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Cemetery in Liberty, Ky., with graveside military rites conducted. An online guest book may be signed at www.murphyparks.com .
