Doris I. (Prill) Ruschhaupt, 84, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Ashford Place.
Born October 15, 1933 in Moscow, IN, she was the daughter of Thomas J. Prill and Dorothy Mae (Brinkman) Prill.
Doris married Max E. Ruschhaupt on August 30, 1953 and he preceded her in death March 15, 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami Lynn (Martin) Zinser, Waldron and Tim (Diana) Ruschhaupt, Indianapolis, grandchildren, Jacob Ruschhaupt, Will Ruschhaupt, Heather (Joel) Parker, and Holly Scott, great-grandchildren, Jude Parker and Ryder Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Thelma Jean Myer and Bertha Helen Fisher, and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Parker.
Doris served as District Secretary for Kiwanis for 25 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of First Christian Church where she served as a deacon. She was also a member of the Disciples Women's of First Christian Church and a home economics club. She also was in volunteer services at Major Hospital making surgical pillows. She worked at Occasions Banquet Hall. Doris was a member of the Shelbyville Kiwanis Club since 1982. Doris was a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash in 2001.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Horner officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
