Donna J. (Thornborrow) Simmons

Donna J. Simmons, 61, of Fairland died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
Born July 19, 1949, in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of Don and Opal Thornborrow. She married Denzil "Bud" Simmons on Oct. 9, 1971, and he survives.
Other survivors include her son, Shai Simmons of Fairland; brothers, Roy Thornborrow of El Paso and Vince Thornborrow of Oregon; and four granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Shad Simmons.
Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker.
She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and the Women's Club, having served as its president.
Donna enjoyed bowling.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Fairview United Methodist Church, 1880 W. 900N in Fountaintown.
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Johnny Lee Sanders officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, 1880 W. 900N, Fountaintown IN 46130.
