Donna J. Semenick, 75, of Fairland, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at her residence.

She was born January 6, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ray Holtsclaw and Ruth (Duncan) Holtsclaw

Donna was a member of Bethel Family Worship Center.

Through the years she fostered over 30 children to help better their lives. She enjoyed puzzles of all kinds ranging from crossword puzzles to jigsaw puzzles. Donna was a homemaker and her family was the center of her world. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and making memories.

Donna married John R. Semenick on April 17, 1977 they spent 45 wonderful years together and he will miss her dearly, as she was the love of his life.

She is also survived by son, Jerry Semenick (wife, Kelly), daughter, Shawntell Collins (husband, George), son, Samuel Semenick, daughter, Rachel Capps (Husband, William), daughter, Julie Turnbull (husband, Shane), grandchildren; Heather Fields, Emily Semenick, David Semenick, Jeremiah Semenick, John-Michael Butcher, Morgan Woolf, Benjamin Butcher, Jacob Butcher, Leah Collins, Alyssa Collins, Nicholas Middleton, Jr., Rebekah-Lynn Middleton,  Kaitlynn Mosiman, Kristen Mosiman, Thomas Hoaglan, Taylor Turnbull, Tylor Turnbull, Alex Turnbull, great-grandchildren; Vincent, Abigail, Justin, Isabella, Ivy, Oliver, Asher, Uriah, Lainey, Meiah, and her two sisters; Brenda Croley and Betty Foster.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lisa Hoaglan, son, David Semenick, granddaughter, Ashley Semenick, two brothers; Ray Holtsclaw and David Holtsclaw, and her two sisters; Charlotte Foreman and Martha Holtsclaw.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10am until noon at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery.
