Donald Tresler, 74, of Shelbyville died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Sept. 28, 1937, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Arnold and Alice (Bailey) Tresler. He married Diana Schnippel on June 14, 1959, and she survives. Other survivors include daughter, Deana (Ronnie) Thurston of Shelbyville; son, Donnie Dee Tresler of Shelbyville; and grandsons, Derek (Shonda) Tresler, Dustin Tresler, Tresler Thurston and Donald Tresler. He was preceded in death by his parents, a half sister; and two half brothers.

Mr. Tresler was employed as a supervisor at Wellman's, where he retired after 44 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church and Fraternal Order of Police. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev.
