Donald E. Jacobs, 67, of Shelbyville, passedaway Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South.
He was born March 13, 1947, to Tennie Jacobs and Mary E. (Noble) Jacobs in Shelbyville.
Survivors include son, Brandon Michael Jacobs of New Castle; daughter, April Jacobs of New Castle; two grandchildren; brothers: Jim Jacobs and wife, Margaret, of Shelbyville; Larry Jacobs and wife, Linda, of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee; and Roy Jacobs and wife, Pauline, of Shelbyville; and companion, Kathy Delaney, of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: parents ; and brothers, Henry, Kenneth and Gordon Jacobs.
Donnie had worked at Knauf Insulation, McDonald's and delivered The Shelbyville News for many years. He also drove the Happy Times ice cream truck in Shelbyville.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Lts. Stephen DeLacy and Elizabeth "Liz" DeLacy officiating.
Burial will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville.
