Dolly E Smothers

Dolly E. Smothers, 58, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at MHP Medical Center.

She was born July 28, 1963 in Shelbyville to Claude Smothers and Mary (Elliott) Smothers.

Dolly attended Shelbyville High School.  She was a former member of the American Legion Post 70 and the Eagles Lodge 766. She enjoyed playing bingo when she was younger.  Her favorite times were spent with her family.

For many years, Dolly was an active member of the kitchen team at Doc's BP.  She was loved by her co-workers and customers.  She was known for always having a smile on her face.

Dolly is survived by her sisters, Judy Smith, of Springdale, AR.; Faye Wilkerson (Jim) of Shelbyville; Mae Comstock (Odie) of Greenwood; Peggy Milner (Gary) of FL.; her brothers, Ronnie Smothers (Mary); Scott Smothers (Kim); and Rickey Smothers, all of Shelbyville; and her sister, Christina Leffler (Todd) of Shelbyville, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Linda Dyer, and her brothers, Mike Smothers, and Bobby Smothers.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Albert officiating.
