Denise A. Stinson, 74, of Fairland, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
She was born March 26, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to Dennis Krauth and Lillian (Hager) Krauth.
Denise graduated from Triton Central High School with the Class of 1970. She was a homemaker and was dedicated to providing a loving and nurturing environment for her family. Family dinners were some of her most cherished memories. She especially enjoyed Christmas and Halloween with the family and loved ones. She was the Owner and Co-Founder of the 4AM Doughnut Club. Denise had a love for the outdoors, especially going camping. She also loved music and even enjoyed singing karaoke with her grandchildren. She spent a lot of her time listening to audio books.
She married Bernard “Gene” Stinson on December 9, 1983, and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2022. They shared 38 loving years of marriage together.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Davis, Deanna McVay, Crystal (husband, Samuel) Buchanan, Candance Stinson and Sonya Price; grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Chet, Marci, Miranda, Denny, Sammy, Darci and Aleigha; great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Jordan, Elizabeth, Shawn, Dontay, Landen, Hunter, Roslyn, Liliana, Kyser, Kayden and Laken; sisters, Linda Popp and Trina (husband, Greg) Shamblin and brother, Jerry (wife, Amanda) Krauth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, daughter, Dorothy Stinson; granddaughter, Barbara; great-grandson, Demetri and brother, William Krauth.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 6 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy McCollum officiating.
Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Denise’s family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Denise Stinson memorial fund, in care of Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
