Deborah L "Debbie" Evans

Deborah L. Evans, 68, of Greenwood, formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Community Hospital South.

She was born July 17, 1953 in Shelbyville to Herschel Evans and Melvena (Lay) Evans.

Debbie worked in the bakery and deli at Kroger.  She was a member of Village Bible Church in Greenwood and a member of a crocheting club associated with the church.

She enjoyed puzzles, puzzle books, and ceramic painting.  Debbie also loved to bowl.  She will be greatly missed by her family and church family that she loved very much.

Debbie is survived by her brother, Michael (Alicia) Vermillion, her nieces, Ashley Tibbs, Leanna Teney, and Mahri Vermillion, her nephews, Tyler Vermillion, and Joshua Vermillion, 2 great-nephews, and 3 great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Reverend Ken Dalton officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
