Debbie Briggs, 58, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.  Born September 18, 1854, she was the daughter of John Williams and Catherine Wise Williams.  She married Fred E. Briggs and he preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include her daughter, Johanna Briggs of Shelbyville, grandson, Devin Michael Redd, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 sisters.

Mrs. Briggs was an AA member.  Memorial donations may be made to Debbie L. Briggs Memorial Fund, in care of Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.
