David Lee 'Cowboy' Howell's Obituary

David Lee Howell 'Cowboy', 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at his residence.

He was born February 18, 1949 in Hancock County to Charles Edward Howell and Lorena Belle (Potter) Howell.

David is survived by his daughter, Regina Bloomenstock, his grandchildren, Chelsi Bloomenstock, McKenzie Bloomenstock, and Sarah Bloomenstock, his great-grandchildren, Waylon Francis, Stella Francis, and Scarlett Francis, his brothers, John Shelvy Howell (Mary) of South Carolina; Nelson E. Howell (Jean) of Franklin; George W. Howell of Shelbyville; and Dennis R. Howell of Pensacola, FL;  his sisters, Ruth E. McClure (Danny) of Shelbyville and J. Kathleen Howell of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Crump and Margaret Harris.

David loved horseback riding.  He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed farming and fishing.  He was a skilled laborer in many trades.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, Indiana.
