Danny Brown, Sr.

Danny Brown Sr., 62, of Nashville, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at his residence.

He was born March 26, 1953, to Marion Francis Brown and Ona Mae (Dishman) Brown in Monticello, Kentucky. He married Sue Elliott on May 25, 1974, and she survives.

Other survivors include children: Tonia Johns and husband, Chad, of Shelbyville; Danny Brown Jr. and wife, Jasmine, of Nashville; Gina Higdon of Shelbyville and Heather Elliott of Nashville; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters, Anna Cooper of Monticello, KY, Barbara Hicks of Jamestown, Tennessee, and Linda Daniel of Monticello, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Mom and Pop Watson and Carlo and Audra Acres, and a brother, Robert Brown.

Mr. Brown was a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Columbus.

He was a truck driver for 33 years.

Mr. Brown enjoyed hunting, fishing and drag racing.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday Hope's Point Baptist Church, 1703 Miller Ave., Shelbyville, with the Rev. Edwin Mohr officiating. Inurnment will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Danny Brown Memorial Fund, in care of Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mr. Brown.
