Chris (Wilma) Johnson

Chris "Wilma" Johnson, 53, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her home. She was born Oct. 10, 1959, to Carlie Johnson and Emma (Brown) Johnson in Shelbyville. Survivors include son, Jeremy (wife, Kelly) Johnson of St. Paul; granddaughter, Ashton Johnson; grandson, Braden Barnard; great-grandchildren, Kinley Shepard and Emrey Shepard; sisters, Wanda Shepherd of Shelbyville, Janice Burgmeier of Greensburg, Betty (husband, Rusty) Koenigkramer of New York, Linda Stafford of Shelbyville and Loraine Johnson of Kokomo; brothers, Gene (wife, Mary) Johnson and William (wife, Phylis) Johnson, all of Shelbyville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Forrestine Johnson and brother, Wendall Johnson. Ms. Johnson worked for Loper Elementary School in Shelbyville as a custodian. She enjoyed reading, playing games, walking and most of all, spending time with her family. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Evans officiating. Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart H.
