Charles Brown

Charles A. Brown, 81, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his residence.

He was born October 31, 1939 in Shelbyville to Orville E. Brown and Adeline Brown.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Charles retired from Printpack as a machinest.  He currently was employed at Premier Ag.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.  His favorite times were spent with his family.

He married Mary Jane (Lawrence) Brown on December 31, 1961 and she preceded him in death on March 12, 2021.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Penny (Rick) Brown-Wood of Greensburg; and Lisa (Merle) McFadden of Florence; his sons, Tim (Sally) Brown of Freeport; and Bryan (Tara) Brown of Greensburg, and his sister-in-law, Millie Brown McVey of Shelbyville, 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brothers, Robert Brown, and James Brown, and James' wife Mary.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 with Reverend Seth Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery with military rites conducted by local veteran organizations.
