Cathy Smiley Adkins

Cathy Smiley Adkins, 56 of Shelbyville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Indiana.

Born June 7, 1959 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of the late Herman Smiley and the late Pricilla (Vanscoy) Smiley. She married Anthony Pittman and he survives.

Surviving are daughter, Tessa Wainscott (husband, Chris Pickett) of Shelbyville; sons, Eric Wainscott of Shelbyville, IN and Greg (wife, Sue) Wainscott of Cloverdale; brothers, Joey Smiley of Shelbyville, IN and Alan Sinclair of KY; sisters, Angela (husband, JR) Nations of KY; Tammy Blake of Anderson, and Gail Smiley of TN; 13 grand children; and 5 great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cheryl Smiley.

Mrs. Smiley had formerly worked in housekeeping at Super 8 and Comfort Inn.

Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchldren and many friends.  She was greatly loved and will be forever missed

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m, Monday, January 4, 2016 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

A Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Murphy-Parks Funeral Service to assist the family with funeral expenses.
