Catherine "Cathy" Sue Golden

Catherine Sue "Cathy" Golden, 75, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Ashford Place.

Born April 12, 1942 in Connersville, she was the daughter of Lionel Gordon and Estella (Blevins) Gordon, who both preceded her in death.

She married Robert L. Golden on November 27, 1965, and he survives.

She is also survived by sons, Tracy Lee (Angie) Hammer, Terry Lee (Debbie) Hammer, Chet Alan Golden, and daughter, Gina Lynn (Matt) Scott, all of Shelbyville; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Golden's greatest joy was being a homemaker and taking care of her family and friends.  She enjoyed being outdoors and loved camping.

She was a member of Hope's Point Baptist Church

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hope's Point Baptist Church, 1703 S. Miller Avenue, Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the church with Pastor Edwin Mohr officiating.

A private family graveside will be held at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Golden.
