Carolyn Sue Strong, 82, of Fairland, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. Franciscan Health.

She was born January 28, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to Henry A. Russell and Captola (Knight) Russell.

Carolyn Sue was a member of the Northwood Christian Church. She loved flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

She married Rondell T. Strong on February 4, 1963 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2002.

She is survived by her son, Ray Allen (wife, Brenda) Strong; daughter, Ronda Sue (husband, Brett Alan) Jackson; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Patty Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Thomas; brothers, Rick Russell and William Russell.

Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2026, from 11 am to 2:30 pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Delashmit officiating.

Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery.
