Carolyn Ruth Leffler

Carolyn Ruth Leffler, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at Miller Merry Manor in Hope, IN.

She was born December 28, 1941, in Shelbyville, IN to James William Aulby and Reba Justine (Sweet) Aulby.

Carolyn was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fairland, IN.  She was active in all church activities and all church meals.  She enjoyed going to flea markets and looking for her special purchases.  Carolyn cherished all of her time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She married Charles "Sonny" Leffler on May 28, 1960, and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2021.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Lewis; her grandson, Bruce Theobald; her great-grandchildren, Christian, Cole, Jordan, Bryce, Avery, Dalton, Sophia and Trevor; 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband;; her granddaughter, Shannon Wolf; her sisters, Marlene Aulby, Shannon Barngrover and Judy Pruett and her brother, Billy Aulby.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to Noon at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Dennis officiating.

Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
