Carl Pogue, 47, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at his residence. He was born June 20, 1965, in Shelbyville to Charles and Faye (Brown) Pogue. Survivors include daughters Autum Hernandez and Ashley, Lisa and Nikita Pogue, all of Shelbyville; sons, Trent and Trevor Fitz, both of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren; brother, Larry Pogue of Shelbyville; sisters, Angie Pogue of Shelbyville and April Palmer and Mary Work, both of Kentucky; and ex-wife, Tyra Denton of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Pogue was self-employed as a construction worker. His passion was working on cars. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting; they were his favorite pastimes. He always made time for his family. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Carl's memorial fund in care of the funeral home. Funeral directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Carl Pogue.
