Carl D. Eldridge, 58, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
He was born October 24, 1966 in Rushville to John Eldridge and Fern (Herbert) Hodson.
Carl graduated from Shelbyville High School with the class of 1986. In his younger years, he enjoyed roller skating and hanging out with friends. Through the years, he enjoyed throwing their big cook-out parties and his family vacations to Florida. He had a love for being outdoors and riding his four-wheeler. Carl also loved watching sports on TV, especially the Indiana Pacers. His greatest joy came from spending time and making memories with his family and friends.
He married Michelle R. Brown on November 4, 1989 and she survives. They shared 38 loving years together including 36 years of marriage.
Carl is also survived by his mother, Fern; his son, Clayton (wife, Lily) Eldridge; his sister, Dreamla (husband, Steve) Sturgill, his brother, Tony Eldridge, and his sister, Dawn Eldridge (fiancé, Sam Summers); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John; his step-father, Thomas Hodson; his brother, Tim Eldridge, and his beloved dog, Gizmo.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 from Noon to 3 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with his nephew, Pastor Jason Sturgill officiating.
