Bobby L. (Chance) Martin, 64, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday August 27, 2023 at Indiana University Hospital.

He was born May 2, 1959 in Shelbyville, IN. to Robert Martin and Dorothy (Merrick) Mentzer.

Bobby attended Shelbyville High School.

He served in the United States Army.

Bobby attended Crossroads Community Church.  He was kind hearted, he loved to help everyone.  Bobby was very loving and a very giving person.

He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Mentzer; daughter, Jasamine Anderson; sisters, Ruthann Morton, Karen (husband, Don) Walker; best friend/brother, Keith Hardcastle.

Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by our local Veteran organizations.
