Billy Joe Morning

Billy Joe Morning, 67, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Franciscan Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1954 in Shelbyville to Ralph E. Morning and Mildred (Poe) Morning.

Billy attended Shelbyville High School.  He was a diesel mechanic and worked in construction.

Billy enjoyed doing home improvements around his house.  He loved going to auctions, gardening, and being outdoors, especially the times he was fishing.

Billy married Sherri (Simmonds) Morning on March 8, 2005, and she survives.

He is also survived by his son, Dakota "Cody" Simmonds, his daughter, Misty Bealer, his son, Randy Morning, his sister, Brenda Morning, his niece, Jessica Sheppard (fiancé, Mike); his nephews, Jason Sheppard (Annie), and Terry Owens (Gina); several great-nieces and great-nephews, and his beloved dogs, Blondie and Daisy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sandy Sheppard, and his brother, Edmond Morning.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to Noon, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.
