Betty Jean Mcvey-Livingston

Betty Jean McVey Livingston, 82, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Ashford Place Health Campus. Born Nov. 6, 1926, in Hancock County, she was the daughter of Charles and Flora Belle (Ramsey) Richey. She married Robert L. Livingston on Oct. 11, 1970, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1988. Survivors include her son, Steven A. McVey of Shelbyville; daughter, Bonnie (husband, Don) Mohr of Shelbyville; sister, Maxine Roll of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Rod Mohr, Dana Mohr and Shawna McVey, all of Shelbyville, and Charles McVey of Lebanon; and five great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mike McVey; a brother, Ralph Richey; and a sister, Mary Owens. Mrs. Livingston was a homemaker and had been employed at Admiral Corp. for 22 years, Overhead Door for 18 years and for a few years at Golden Corral in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Forest Hill Cemetery, with the Rev.
