Betty Emerick

Betty Emerick, 80, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at her home. Born Feb. 4, 1928, in Hope, she was the daughter of Lester Seward and Barb (Pickett) Hauk. Survivors include her son, Ron (wife, Susie) Emerick of Westfield; grandchildren, Lori Emerick, Doug Emerick and Chris Emerick; and great-grandson, Luke Emerick. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Billy Emerick. Ms. Emerick had been employed at TRW Cinch. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. An online guest book can be signed at www.murphy-parks.com.
