Betty Jo Conover, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Heritage House in Shelbyville. She was born Sept. 20, 1927, to Oran David and Angeline (Harding) Coyle in Shelbyville. She married Eris Conover on July 6, 1946, and he preceded her in death Aug. 7, 2005. Survivors include sons: Todd Conover, Aaron David Conover of Shelbyville; and Phillip "Coit" Conover and wife, Deborah, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Sarah Ann Harvey and Patrick Neal Umsteadt; and great-grandchildren, Jared Allen Perry and Robert Taylor Perry. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Ann (Conover) Umsteadt. Betty was a devoted wife. She was loving and caring to her children and grandchildren. Betty was a living testimony of a devout Christian. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Bible Holiness Church, 910 S. Tompkins St., with the Rev. Joseph Smith officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral Directors Greg A. Parks, Sheila J. Parks and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Conover.
