Bernard E. "Gene" Stinson's Obituary

Bernard E. "Gene" Stinson, 70 of Fairland, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 23, 1951 in Avondale, West Virginia to Wannis Stinson and Lucinda (Mullins) Stinson

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, camping, playing cards, and listening to audio books.

Gene had a big heart and loved to care for his wife.

He is survived by his daughters, Candy Stinson, Sonya Stinson-Price, Patricia Popp-Davis, Dee McVay, and Crystal (Samuel) Buchanan, his sister, Dorothy Crigger, his brother, Lesley (Donna) Stinson, his sister, Linda (Glenn) Stanley, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Dorothy Stinson, great-grandson, Demetri Shue, and 6 brothers.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m, Monday, January 17, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Gene's family.
