Benjamin (Benji) Kauffman, 34, of Shelbyville, IN., passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at I.U. Health Methodist, Indianapolis.

He was born April 3, 1988 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Barry M. Kauffman and Cynthia Esters.

Benji was employed at McDonald's in Shelbyville. He also was a co-founder of XCW Wrestling. Throughout the wrestling community he was known as "Kurt Acid".

Benji is survived by his mother, Cynthia Esters, son, Brayden Michael, sister, Brandi Boots, sister, Amanda Arseno, brother, Bryan Hall and brother, Stephen Hall, his uncle Brent and aunt Shari Kauffman.

Benji was preceded in death by his father, Barry M. Kauffman, Uncle, Bruce Kauffman, grandmother, Beverly Kauffman and his grandfather, Beach Kauffman.

Visitation will be held at Murphy Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Shelbyville, Indiana, from 4 to 8 pm, Friday, April 29, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
