Anthony Wayne Loy-Howell, 49, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
He was born April 29, 1976, in Indianapolis, IN to Wayne McBride Loy and Mary Louise (Howard) Loy.
Anthony was a graduate of Brownsburg High School where he excelled in show choir and as the quarterback for the football team. He also graduated from Wabash College with a degree in Social and Ethical Philosophy, where he was also on the football team. He later earned a master's degree in business administration and a doctorate in Philology, as well as an associate's degree in culinary arts. Anthony was the former president of the Indianapolis Men's Chorus, a member of Toastmasters International, Indiana Falcons Leather Club, Indy Bag Ladies, a board member of Windsor Park Neighborhood, and a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ & women's rights as well as DEI. He was a former Airport Operators Manager for America West Airlines, a chef and bartender at multiple establishments, a fashion model and exotic dancer. Anthony was an insurance professional for over 25 years culminating as Senior Investigator for the Indiana Department of Insurance. He enjoyed cooking Italian, Greek and Asian food, go-kart racing, mountain climbing, kickball, softball, singing, dancing, hosting karaoke as well as holiday decorating and creating costumes. He even loved raising Pygmy goats on his family farm in his youth and hoped to again in his retirement.
He married his loving husband Donald Anthony Howell on September 21, 2018, and he survives. They were nearing their 7th wedding anniversary.
He is also survived by his mother; his brothers, Chris Wayne (wife, Sonja) Loy, Jonathan Paul (wife, Misty) Nichols and Jeffrey Allen (wife, Heather) Loy; his nieces and nephews, Sierra, Austin, Malori, Taylor, Braxton, Bryson, Carter and Tammy.
He was preceded in death by his father; his sisters, Kristina Louise Loy and Pamela Loy Stamm; his nephew, David Lee Stamm and his former partner, Anthony Scott Perkins.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Tony strived to make a difference in our world, and specifically in the LGBTQ+ community. Please continue his legacy!
