Anna "Grannie Annie" Florence Tucker

Anna Florence (Young) Tucker (Grannie Annie), 84, of Shelbyville, Indiana passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.

Anna was born on August 18, 1934 in Russell County, Kentucky to Sherman and Edna (Hammond) Brown.

She married Cecil Young on June 14, 1961 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1966.  She married Carl Tucker in April of 1970.

Survivors include daughters:  Darlene Young, Betty (husband, Robert) Aldridge both of Shelbyville, and Edna (husband, Freddie) Johnson of Albany, Kentucky; son, Tommy (wife, Sarah) Tucker of Indianapolis; sister, Dorothy Burchett of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Travis Johnson, Brooke (husband, Matt) Young, Debra Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Faith Johnson all of Albany, KY; Thomas Aldridge, Chris Aldridge, Robert (wife, Kayla) Aldridge, Brittany Aldridge, Breana Aldridge, and Butch (wife, Chandra) Kikendall, Heather (husband, Naseer) Bade; 12 step children, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Virginia Young; brothers,  Elbert, Ben, Ernest, and Hobert Brown, and two sisters, Emma (husband, Carlie) Johnson, and Ella Mae Brown.

Anna loved everybody and wanted everyone to love each other.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the funeral home with Robert Prather officiating.  Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

The family would like to thank Dr. Viera, the Major Hospital staff, Dr. Hibbs, the nurses, hospice care, CNAs, housekeeping, and the kitchen staff for all their kindness and support.
