Allen Snow

Allen L. Snow, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born December 7, 1950 to Arthur L. Snow, Jr. and Alice L. (Dawson) Snow. He was born and raised in Prairie Township in Tipton County, IN.

He married his beloved wife of 49 years, Gloria (Leininger) Snow on October 10, 1970 and she survives.

Allen is also survived by his sons, Andrew Snow (wife, Marijo Snow); and Jarod Snow (wife, Christie Snow); his sister, Jane Ann Snow Kirtley, grandchildren, Alison Snow, Samantha Snow, Paige Snow, Jacob Hamblen, Taylor Snow, Julia Hamblen, Madison Snow, Brooklyn Blankenship and Terra Decker, his great-grandchildren, Lucas Cassidy, Logan Snow and Grayson Snow, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, David Kirtley.

Allen graduated from Sharpsville-Prairie High School.  He then earned his Masters Plus from Indiana University. He was a lifelong educator serving at Southwestern, Shelby Eastern, and Irvington Community Elementary School.

Allen loved watching his grandchildren show animals at the Shelby County Fair.  He enjoyed raising Haflingers and show cattle.  His most cherished moments were spent with his entire family.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Knights of Columbus Post 822, 413 East South Street, Shelbyville.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Snow family.
