Alice R. Scudder, 81, of Shelbyville., died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Heritage House. Alice was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Shelbyville, to the late Everett and Delores (Helms) Scudder. She was the owner and operator of Alice's Beauty Shop. She truly enjoyed reading and researching her family genealogy. Sassy, her dog, was her lifelong companion and true friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Delores Scudder, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her brother John (wife, Sandy) Scudder of Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Elder Bill Blackburn officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Funeral directors Greg A.
