Alice (Clark) Owens

Alice G. "Ally" Owens, 77, of Ocala, Fla., a former Shelbyville resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, her residence.
She was born March 17, 1935, in Indianapolis to Harry Daniel and Margaret Elizabeth (Hardigan) Clark. She married Maurice "Red" W. Owens on April 28, 1955, and they were married for 57 years. He survives in Ocala.
Other survivors include daughter, Sheryl Orr of Bethalto, Ill.; son, Maurice W. Owens II of Wood River, Ill.; grandsons, Brandon Pike of Ocala, Fla., and Jeron Owens of Clarksburg,
W.Va
.; granddaughters, Brittney Orr of Hurst, Texas, Missy Owens of New Whiteland and Mindi Owens of Wood River, Ill.; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Mark Dewayne Owens.
Mrs. Owens loved to bowl at Blue River Lanes for the Bausback Fertilizer Team. She also loved playing bingo.
She was a medical lab technician at Eli Lilly, retiring after 25 years of service at age 59.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, 703 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at the funeral home with Robert Prather officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
