Albert F. Roberts

Albert F. Roberts, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, January 05, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital,  Indianapolis.

He was born April 3, 1945 in Edinburg, IN.  He was the son of Fred Roberts and Pearl (Scroggham) Roberts.  He married Rachel (Dixon) Roberts on November 2, 1967 and she survives.

Other survivors include his sons, Alan F. (Traci) Roberts of Rushville and Mike Roberts of Shelbyville; daughter, Angie (Jim) McClellan of Rushville; brother, Don Roberts of Shelbyville; daughter-in-law, Rose Roberts of Shelbyville; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Albert F. Roberts, Jr. and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Roberts was a foundry worker. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, going to the casino and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville

Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Brandon Sutton officiating.

Burial will be at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.
