Alice Christine Herig, 66, of Shelbyville, died Monday, April 26, 2010, at Major Hospital. Born March 27, 1944, in Kissimmee, Fla., she was the daughter of Ed and Ruth (Wallis) Turner. She married Roger Herig, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Rene Fox, of Jasper, Ga., and seven grandchildren, all of Big Canoe, Ga. She also leaves behind her caregiver, Rhonda Milligan; a dear friend, Jeanetta Fitz; and many more friends and family of Florida and Georgia. She also was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Herig was from Venice, Fla., and resided in Georgia before moving to Shelbyville. She had been a bookkeeper before retiring. Memorial services will be at Trinity Evangelical Church in Big Canoe, Ga., on Saturday. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Murphy-Parks Funeral Service and Crematory, 703 S.
